CNN Money declared that the NODE was the “coolest gizmo at 2013 CES” and Variable received “Most Innovative Startup” at the Southland entrepreneur conference. The NODE was later recognized as a finalist in the Spark Awards International Design Competition and was also honored as a finalist in the “Tech For A Better World” category at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show. Within its first year, NODE captured more attention from industry leaders than from mainstream consumers. The team at Variable therefore launched an effort to listen both to small businesses and multinational corporations to understand better how NODE could add value across supply-chain processes.
Strategic partnerships were developed from these conversations and today NODE+chroma has become an industry leader in digital color referencing and color library management across multiple industries around the world.
With its API, mobile app developers and agencies have also developed solutions for emerging market opportunities utilizing NODE modular sensors in other industries ranging from manufacturing and monitoring to transport and logistics.
Variable continues to grow with strategic partnerships with industry partners and experienced entrepreneurs. Through conjoint analysis and world-class design & production, the team at Variable develops new sensor technologies and information technology platforms that integrate relevant sensor functionalities into one process. As form follows function, the NODE platform can adapt itself to an appropriate form factor as well so that the value to both the buyer and end-user is maximized.
